Crystal-Cool Temperature Management

What is the Crystal-Cool Temperature Management System?

When UV-Lamps are at room temperature, they are not at their optimum temperature for the highest UV output. The acrylic panels within the units (plexiglass) allow for the lamps to increase in temperature and reach their highest UV output sooner, which contributes to shorter and quicker UV-Treatment for your patients as warmer lamps = higher UV output. However, when the temperature of lamps overshoots the optimum temperature, light output starts to drop. For this reason, strategically placed lamps circulate air around the lamps to bring the temperature back to optimum levels. Once the temperature has dropped back to its optimum level, the fans automatically stop. It would be completely counterproductive if the fans continuously run. Without a control system of temperature, fans continuisly run and force the temperature of lamps back to room temperature where lamps are not at optimum temperature and less efficient. Competitor units do not have a control system; therefore, lamp temperatures are forced back to room temperature. Contrarily, the Daavlin units will stop cooling the lamps once they’re at optimum temperature, which contributes to shorter and quicker UV treatments and an overall more efficient phototherapy program.
